“Whosoever saves a life, saves the whole of mankind.” (Quran 5: 32)

More than 603,000 Rohingya refugees have fled over the border and into Bangladesh, barely escaping with their lives.

In the Bangladeshi border town of Cox’s Bazar, more than half a million new refugees have arrived in less than two months.

By donating £250 towards our Myanmar emergency fund, you can help us set up vital sanitation facilities, and provide education and psychological care for children who have witnessed horrors we can scarcely imagine.

What’s more, since late August 2017, the emergency situation in Rakhine State, Myanmar, has worsened. Violent clashes have reportedly resulted in over 1,000 deaths and the United Nations estimate that over 655,000 people have fled, seeking refuge in Bangladesh, since the 25th August. This includes high numbers of women, children and elderly family members.

This recent spate of conflict has not only seen civilians killed and landmines planted but satellite imagery confirms villages have been set alight. Entire townships have had to be evacuated creating wholly displaced communities taking temporary shelter in schools and public buildings.
